Repair and Calibration information and Service Rates

Basic calibration and repairs to achieve calibration ----- $95.00 plus parts.
The $95 fee covers the calibration and incidental repairs needed to get the unit
functioning correctly. I charge for needed fuse lamps-if the lamps in your tester
are defective or incorrect. Also I charge for new line cords--many testers can't be safely plugged in , because the cord is crumbling.
Items not covered are blown transformers, broken switches, tubes, broken meters, bias potentiometers, rheostats, etc. If these items are bad, I will call you with an estimate of what is required to repair the unit, before proceeding.
I do not "repair" sticky charts. The roll charts were meant to be replaced periodically.
If your chart binds up-it is because it is worn and dog-eared . Unfortunately , new roll charts are no longer made. The only real repair for this issue, is to get a new or
better roll chart.
Hickok model 580:
I do repair the 580 , however it is a "by the hour" repair at $60 per hour. Two hour minimum. Please call me if you want a repair on model 580.
