I am also the chief engineer at the deHavilland company. We build one of the finest SE vacuum tube amplifiers available today. We are a relative newcomer to the audio landscape, however we are getting noticed in the audio press, and the reviews are excellent.
Our main design objective was to build a SE amp that would drive modern compact loudspeakers of medium efficiency. The Aries is among the small handful of SE amps that will drive normal loudspeakers.
